We are delighted to introduce you to Daisy Chute -vocal soloist, vocal contractor and Chorus Mistress of the London Metropolitan Chorus.
Trained in classical singing, Daisy’s early recording career was as a featured singer with vocal quartet All Angels with whom she released 3 albums under Decca, Universal and toured extensively. Since then, Daisy’s additional experience as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has led to a busy career in multiple genres (folk, jazz, pop, musical theatre) as both a session musician/fixer and as a recording and touring artist. Frequently appearing at top arts venues (e.g. Kings Place, London) and festivals (e.g. Glastonbury), Daisy has received plaudits for her music from legends including Sir Barry Gibb, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ray Davies (now her mentor), won multiple songwriting awards (International Songwriting Award, Fatea Awards, Drake Yolanda, Coffee Music Project and many more), and has had music featured on BBC Radio stations nationally and Caffe Nero and Tesco playlists internationally. Contributing to production library albums for companies including EMI, Daisy also writes commissioned work for TV and her original music has featured on international adverts and national TV shows with BBC/ITV/Channel 4/Sky.
As Chorus Mistress of the London Metropolitan Chorus, Daisy has booked singers for soundtracks by Ilan Eshkeri includng the BAFTA-nominated series Athena and film Shaun The Sheep The Movie, Kingdom of Dreams, The Informer, Sims 4, David Attenborough’s Perfect Planet, The Snowman and The Snowdog, 47 Ronin, Justin and the Knights of Valour, Don Verdean and live concerts and recordings for Space Station Earth(with astronaut Tim Peake) and the Burberry-commissioned Reliquary score.
In addition to working with Eshkeri, Daisy has sung and contracted choir for award-winning composers including Matthew Slater (Endeavour, Hell Cats, Grace, Tom Jones), and Natalie Holt (Loki).
